Shoot for Friends of Ferdinand, Inc.

I had a very fun shoot opportunity yesterday. As a volunteer photographer (and foster home/trainer) with Friends of Ferdinand, Inc., (a racehorse rescue), I was invited to attend a "Meet & Greet" with one of the organizations granters. The granter was Tony Stewart, of NASCAR fame. FFI took two horses and a few volunteers, along with two vets that have donated services to the organization and specifically to horses that are being supported by Tony Stewart grant money.

While at his place, we were able to watch a commercial being shot for Coca-Cola, we participated in a video interview done for the foundation and last but definitely not least, we were all able to visit with members of his family. It was very apparent to me that his "bad boy" reputation portrayed by the media is greatly exaggerated. Tony, and the rest of his family, were incredible gracious hosts and they are most definitely animal lovers. Not only were they thrilled to have the FFI horses and volunteers as guests there, they are also active in rehabing wildlife for the DNR. We saw them caring for whitetail deer and baby raccoons while there. While I will not post pictures of Tony, you most likely be able to see some of my images on the Tony Stewart Foundation website in the near future.
